About Us

Clark’s Fork Angus & Simmental is located near the town of Edgar, in south central Montana. We run mostly in the dry hills above the Clark’s Fork of the Yellowstone river valley. We are family owned and operated by Christopher and Kelli Coombe along with our daughters Kyelynn and Cori.  The girls run their own herds alongside ours.

From the beginning, our operation has primarily been commercial. We started from scratch with the purchase of thirty pair from a neighbor. Our registered start came in 2008 when we bought a retiring producer’s small herd. We have built and improved our cow herd by AI’ing all females, registered and commercial, to proven maternally oriented genetics.  With generations of AI, and strict culling, exceptional cow families have developed, even in our commercials.
